Hana’s first yoga experience was a college class in 2014, and she’s been coming back again and again ever since. At first, Hana viewed yoga as just a fun way to work out, but she grew to love how it facilitates connection between body, breath, and mind.

Hana is new to teaching, having completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in March 2026 at Parallel 45. She is so excited to continue to learn in community with her students. She hopes everybody who comes to her classes has fun, finds a little peace, and leaves feeling proud of themselves for showing up (and maybe for trying something new, too).

Hana was born and raised in the PNW and has lived in the Camas/Washougal area since 2018. Outside of yoga, Hana spends most of her time cooking with her husband and trying to keep up with her toddler – sometimes doing both while also van camping.

Kathy began her yoga journey in 2009 when she was at a significant crossroad in her career and life. She says, “Yoga was recommended to me by my therapist". I honestly thought it would be a waste of my time, after all, I was more interested in a ‘serious’ workout. I was fortunate that the first studio I joined had a mandatory three class package for new members, it was there I learned that yoga was far more than exercise, it is a way of life.” This piqued Kathy’s interest in exploring a more fulfilling life knowing that anything is possible when framed properly in our consciousness. When Body Bliss Yoga offered their first teacher training in 2015, she jumped on the opportunity to deepen her practice and share it with others. She tries to always integrate the 8 Limbs of Yoga into her classes, always reiterating that Asana, or the physical practice of yoga is only 1/8th of a lifelong practice. Even with physical limitations, the practice of yoga can be rich and rewarding. Her mantra for practice always begins with being grateful for what your body will do for you today and not frustrated by what it can’t or won’t do at any given moment. Each day, hour, moment and breath are exactly as they are supposed to be.

Kathy enjoys teaching and incorporating many styles of yoga into her practice and classes, often making adjustments of planned classes “on the fly” to meet the needs of the participants on any given day.

Kate McDonald is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) and Sound Bath Facilitator who has been a devoted student of yoga for over 20 years and has been teaching since 2018. Her journey began in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, where she completed her training and first began sharing her passion for yoga. In the summer of 2024, after raising two wonderful children, Kate and her husband embraced a new chapter by relocating to Washougal, where they are enjoying becoming part of the local community.

Yoga has long been Kate's anchor for physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and she is passionate about helping others experience those same benefits. She recently expanded her offerings by completing Quantum Sound Method Facilitation training. Through the soothing sounds of crystal quartz singing bowls, chimes, and ocean drums, Kate creates deeply restorative sound bath experiences that promote relaxation, stress relief, and deep rest.

Whether guiding students through mindful movement or immersing them in the calming vibrations of a sound bath, Kate invites you to slow down, reconnect, and discover a greater sense of balance and well-being.
